But I tried the other KDE Live CD as well from my favorite Linux mirror:
ftp://mirror.pacific.net.au/linux/debian-cd/4.0_r1/i386/iso-cd. I prefer Ubuntu style single CD installation to Netinst CD. IMHO Ubuntu Installation is much easier than Debian.

Anyway, this is only an experiment and I just want to try it Xiaofanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03066298450495260203noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6431571552393594213.post-8900389418780576822008-01-03T04:33:00.000+08:002008-01-03T04:33:00.000+08:00By the way, just a small sidenote:Debian Etch was ...By the way, just a small sidenote:

Debian Etch was updated couple of days ago.
Debian Etch 4.0r2 CD-images should be available for download now.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6431571552393594213.post-31606463427455849972008-01-03T04:28:00.000+08:002008-01-03T04:28:00.000+08:00"I've tried to install Debian Etch from the 4.0r1 ..."I've tried to install Debian Etch from the 4.0r1 single Gnome CD"

What do you mean by "single Gnome CD"? You could have installed Etch eg. from netinst CD. Netinst-CD is wery small CD which contains only installer and all other stuff nesessary to start installation. netinst willthen fetch and install everything from the Debian mirror.

http://www.debian.org/distrib/netinst
<Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
